My thoughts on this promise:
When we put our trust in God, He forgives our past and gives us a new start in life. Our old nature is now made into a new creature. This does not mean we will be perfect and not face hard times or temptations. It does mean that we have a Father who is there with us to help us through. When we trust God, we will be made anew and filled with the peace and joy that only He can bring. Our Father is a wonderful and awesome God who loves His children unconditionally.
