Our Lord is Majestic

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth. Psalm 8:9 NIV Each new day brings us evidence of our Lord’s greatness. Each sunrise and sunset display His creativity in the sky. His beautiful color combination outshines any man-made art. Each flower is different and beautiful. Even the birds in the sky, creatures of the water and animals on land each bear unique characteristics He gave them. Even we humans have our own traits and beauty He gave us when He created us. We all have our own personalities and DNA which make us different from each other. The snowflakes are all different and no two are alike. How can looking at the earth—His creation not pierce the hardest heart? How can we not say, “Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.” Father, I want to praise you for your wonderful creation—the earth. The beauty of your creation far surpasses anything man can make. I pray that people open their eyes and see the love you have for us—the humans you created in your image. May they see you in the sunrises and sunsets and feel your touch in each breeze that touches us. Amen

We Have Nothing to Fear

Be strong and courageous! For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go, John 1:9 I know that I have nothing to fear God is always with me. I have faced trials and know there will be more in days ahead. Today’s preachers who adhere to the prosperity gospel teach that Jesus promised us we would be healthy and wealthy with no problems in life. They tell us if we are not healthy, we are to blame for not having enough faith. But Jesus tells us we will have troubles in this life. He even tells us that the world will hate us. But take heart. The world hated Him first. But I need not fear if I fully trust in Him. He reassures me that He who is in me is greater than he that is in the world. Take heart friend. He will never leave us. He will never leave us wherever we go. He gave that promise to His children and I believe Him and can rest in that promise. We live in troublesome and confusing times but if we cling to Him, we need not fear.

Stop and Enjoy the Day

`This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:34 Friends, life does get hectic in today’s chaotic times. We need to remember that God is looking for a relationship with us. He wants us to enjoy His blessings and come to Him in times of need, as well as, in times of joy. I know I don’t always take the time to enjoy His beautiful world and thank Him enough for what He has done is doing for me and my family. I may forget to thank Him but He does not forget about me and does not withhold His love. God say everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. Genesis 1:31. When we wake each morning God gives us a manifestation of His love for us—a new day! But too often we do not even notice because we live our lives in overdrive. Today our lives are filled with so many obligations and demands other people place on us—our families, our careers, our friends and even our churches—the list goes on and on. As mothers we are so busy caring for other people in our lives, we too often fail to slow down enough to take care of ourselves or see the beauty of each new day. We cook, clean, transport kids to and from various activities, just to name a few of our responsibilities. God did not intend for us to live such frantic lives. He yearns for an intimate relationship with us. Today’s Whisper: Beloved slow down and spend time with your Heavenly Father today. Embrace each new day He gives you. Enjoy His artistic hand in the glow of the beautiful sunrise of each morning. Savor the beautiful sunsets He puts in the sky each nigh for our pleasure. After all, He is our Father and He loves all His children. Today’s Prayer: Father, I know I get busy and fail to see your blessings you have given me each day. Teach me to slow down and spend time with you. Help me each morning to start the day with you and end each day with you. You have made this day for me and I will rejoice in it. Amen .

True Treasure

I bought a new car today— Such a beautiful ride. Church time came and went And I pushed God aside. I bought a new house today Oh what a wondrous space, Church time came and went And I was not in my place. I got a raise at work today To make my bank account grow. Church time came and went But I did not go. Now the car is filled with rus t, And the house was taken away, When my good job I lost And the bills I could not pay. One day the Lord spoke to me When I got on my knees to pray. He said, “my child, I’ve been right here. It was you who went away.”

Spiritual Warfare

Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of the dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 God tells us we are not fighting against flesh and blood but we are in a spiritual war against satan and his army. This battle is growing more intense each day. We need to get on bended knee—not in protest—but in prayer. You can call me crazy—that is your right—but I believe we are in the last days and God is coming soon. Satan has been loosed in this world and is deceiving many people. I do not profess to know when He is returning because Jesus tells us only His Father knows. However, if people open their eyes they can see the signs are all around us. Father God, I come before you with a burden for this country that you have blessed for so long. I pray for people to open their eyes and soften their hearts to the truth of your love and forgiveness. I pay for the many young people that are deceived by the deceiver and the father of lies. He is going about this world today and lying to so many people. Satan knows his time is short and is trying to ruin many souls. Father I pray for the wisdom to help others to know you and the courage to stand firm against the enemy. I ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

Kids Today

I wrote this poems years ago but now our kids are targeted even more than when this was written. With the transgender movement and LBTQ movement we must be vigilant in protecting these vulnerable members of society. Not only is sexual perversion a problem the liberal agenda has targeted our young people in schools and are indoctrinating them into the agenda of the left.

Our children today can read of evolution
and are taught we come from apes.
They can learn of hate and prejudice
are are encouraged to murder and rape.
Family life is becoming obsolete
in this great country today.
Why it's just not cool
to kneel with your family and pray.
Alcohol, drugs, and sex
are the “in” things to do.
The only thing that really matters
is what feels good to you.
Our kids today are taught that sexual perversion
is nothing but an alternative lifestyle,
homosexuality is not a sin--
why I can almost see satan smile.
Our children are exposed to so many of satan's snares,
yet, in school they are not allowed to
bow their heads in prayer.
The Ten Commandments have been taken
out of our schools by law.
Because the government tries to tell us
they are meant for all!
The results of these perversions are
becoming clearer each day--
kids can kill each other
but it's wrong for them to pray.

Beyond Politics

I have been reprimanded and asked why I am political. Well, I am not political so much as I am a
Christian and see what is going on in this country today. What I see goes way beyond politics and is instead an affront to my Christianity.
I see our government who is supposed to work for us—the citizens of this country selling us out to the highest bidder.
I see the people in government caring more for the illegals that come into this country to rob and kill the citizens. To the politicians a vote is more important than human life. We have been tossed to the wayside for power and wealth. Our representatives in government care more about who will vote for them so they can keep getting richer and richer while we have homeless in our country and senior citizens having to decide between food and necessary medications.
I see the pharmaceutical companies putting profits ahead of the health of Americans. Many times people cannot afford the high cost of the medicines needed because the dollar speaks louder.
I see the most innocent of us, the unborn, being sacrificed on the altar of power. By declaring abortion as women's health we are neglecting the health of the unborn. We hear people shout, “my body, my choice”. What about the innocent child's choice. Women declare they are for women's rights but how many women are being aborted each year? While abortion is being shouted across the land, the new thing is to abort after birth. Think about that for a moment. Killing a child after birth is not just abortion. It is premeditated murder! The argument “my body, my choice” doesn't work here because the child is not in the woman's body any longer. People when are we going to wake up and see how far this country has gone from the foundation upon which it was built?
I see our education is not doing its job of teaching our young people how to think and be productive citizens. I see the education system as indoctrination camps for the depravity and lawlessness of the liberal agenda. Our kids are not taught how to think but are now being told what to think. This is beginning in preschool and continuing through college.
I see a political party that is using our kids to fit their agenda. One future presidential candidate stated he wrote about children being run over when he was only 16 and was too young to understand what he was doing. Now the democrats want to lower the voting age to 16. Come on. You can see on social media how mature these children are. They think it is “cool” to eat Tide Pods or snort condoms up their noses. How many of us were mature enough to elect a president when we were 16. if I can remember back that far, we were thinking about the opposite sex and what we were going to do on the weekend. We even had history class and civics class so we partially understood what the government was about. Those classes are no longer taught so where are the teenagers going to learn about our government. Oh some teachers are teaching the kids civics, I guess, by telling them that our President is ruining our country.
I see the perversion that is targeting our youngest children. We have 5 year old children being told they are the wrong gender and must be trans gendered. We now have “drag queen story hour” that sings the praises of living life as a drag queen. In some cities if a person “mispronouns” someone it means arrest and jail time. In California, it is against the law to use a plastic straw because it is bad for the environment but it is legal to urinate or defecate on the street or thrown used needles on the ground.
I see politicians wanting to dictate how many pain pills can be prescribed for a legitimate use but daily millions of dollars of dangerous drugs are smuggled into this country by the illegals the democrats are so fond of.
I see our police officers and military members being vilified daily but thugs and criminals are praised and lauded as heroes.
I see gun control advocates who want to disarm American citizens but allow criminals and gang members to possess guns. The preach the misconception that if all guns were out of the hands of citizens there would be no more gun deaths and mass shootings. They fail to see the mass shooters obtain their guns illegally or were not supposed to have the gun to begin with. No amount of laws will eliminate evil. If evil is in the heart and someone wants to kill, there are other methods. No gun was used by Timothy McVeigh or the 9/11 terrorists.
I see Christians being demonized because of our belief in the Bible. Islam is heralded as the religion of peace. This peaceful religion kills gays by throwing them off buildings. Their Koran teaches them to kill all infidels that will not convert. The God I serve does not demand us to kill unbelievers. The God I serve died for us.
God told us in His word that this day would come.
Isaiah 5:20 tells us:
Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter.
That my friends is what is happening today. The family is being torn apart. Men are being told they are toxic and the patriarchy is evil. Women are told they are better than man and man is no longer needed. Our innocent babies are being murdered daily and our children are being sacrificed on the altar of diversity. We as Christians are told we are evil and the bible does not pertain to modern times. Adultery is being applauded and we are told if we do not agree with the liberal agenda we are worthless and no longer useful.
Satan is loose in the world today because he knows his time is short. He has so many people deceived for “he is a ravenous lion looking for souls he can devour.
So friends, it is not politics I am passionate about. It is standing on my christian faith and letting the world know where I stand. I would rather stand with God and be judged by man than stand with man and be judged by God.
As always, you are free to disagree but I am free to express my views. May God bless you all. Just saying..

In the Wilderness

We all wish life could go smoothly all the time. But unfortunately we find ourselves in the wilderness at times. During these hard times in our lives we sometimes question why a loving God would allow hard times to happen to His children. He seems so far away and His voice seems silent. “Where are you Father” we cry out. We often try to solve the issues in our own power. Trust me that doesn't work. I have tried that and have only made more trouble for myself.
He tells us that we are not alone in this world and we do not have to fight our own battles. He stands ready to fight the battles for us. All we have to do is take His hand and never let go. When we read His holy word we find that the greatest people in the Bible found themselves in a wilderness. Moses spent forty years wandering in the wilderness with the children of Israel. Paul was in the wilderness of imprisonment and trials but did not give up. Even Jesus himself spent forty days in the wilderness being tempted by satan. What I have learned from these stories is that God will never let His children down. He will always have a way of getting us to the other side. We are told that the world will hate us. The world hated Jesus and he was killed by people that hated Him.
I have found myself many times in the wilderness and, if you are honest, you can say the same thing. But friend, I am here to tell you that I made it out. Sometimes I prolonged the stay by not listening to Him and tried to make it through on my own. Sometimes, the trial did not turn out the way I wanted it to. But I can say He always brought me through according to His plan. This has never worked. When I turned it over to Him, He was faithful to see me through. Remember, God will not take you to the wilderness and leave you there. If He brought you to it, He is faithful to bring you through it.
I wrote this poem in the midst of one of my wilderness stays and hope it will help you make it through your own wilderness times too.

When I'm, in a desert place
where fears and doubts abound,
I look up to Jesus for I know
He's already looking down.
When I'm in a desert place
and feel overwhelmed by despair,
I can hear Jesus whisper to me,
“My child, I'm always near.
I will never leave nor forsake you
though from me you often stray.
Just take my hand and hold it
and I will lead the way.”
When I', in a desert place
Lord, help me to see
that there are others hurting
even more than me.
So when you are in a desert place
just look to Heaven above.
You will see that our Father
is looking down in love.

Today's Whisper:
When we find ourselves going through a hard time, we should not forget that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us more than anyone else. He will care for us no matter what we are going through. He takes care of the birds in the air and the flowers on the earth. How much more can He care for us—His children? The next time you find yourself in the midst of the wilderness, stop and thank Him for the blessings He has already given you. I dare say if you can think of one so many more will come to your mind that you cannot count them all.

Today's Prayer:
Father God, I thank you that you are always with me. You are there for me even when I stray from you. You wait patiently for me to return because you have everlasting and unconditional love for me. I thank you that you never fail me even though I fail you many times a day. Help me remember that every wilderness I go through you are going through it with me.

If The Empty Nest Doesn't Occur Soon I'm Going To Fly The Coop!

Every little girl has a dream of meeting her Prince Charming, her Mister Right, and riding off into the sunset to live happily forever. This dream includes marriage, a little white house with a picket fence and, of course, children. Naturally these children should be a little boy who will fish, hunt, and play sports with his father and a little girl who will dress in ruffles and lace and be a “mama's little helper.” the dream continues and the children are grown and married with homes and children of their own. Ah, such a wonderful dream to have. However, dreams do not always come true. We often get a little reality check when life kicks us back to the real world. We learn that “happily ever after” only works in fairy tales. Reality teaches us that real life is where all the action is.
When my children grew up, they not only moved in with us again (and again), my daughter brought her children to live with us. Now please do not misunderstand me, I do love my children and grandchildren. I will fight to the death anyone who questions that. It is just that at this point in my life I was looking forward to time for me and my husband. I thought I could have time to spend doing things I wanted to do and spend time with the man I married but haven't seen in two weeks because I have either been at school for a meeting or at the ballpark watching a grandchild play little league.
Imagine if you can, a leisurely trip to the mall with no worries about cleaning house or cooking dinner. Perhaps a late afternoon move would be fun a lunch at one of those “fancy” restaurants. You know the kind. You actually go in and a waitress takes your order and serves you. You don't have to yell into a little box and you get fries whether you want them or not. After the mall and lunch I think I will—uh oh, I must be dreaming because for just a moment I thought I was having lunch at the mall. Well, when reality hits it often uses a sledge hammer doesn't it?
I guess I must come back to reality and clean the house and prepare dinner for my hungry bunch. I have to admit that preparing dinner is not as much fun as it once was. When the children were younger, I could prepare one meal and everyone would eat it without presenting any major problems. Now, however our schedules are so hectic that we seldom eat at the same time. Now with our busy schedules and different tastes my kitchen looks more like the kitchen of a fast food restaurant. Oh well, I guess it is nice to be needed—when it's time to clean up and scrub the cooked on food off the counters and floor.
I have started looking through magazines of beautiful homes and dreaming of living in a house that is as beautiful as the homes shown in these magazines. I'm not talking about expensive homes or expensive furniture. I'm talking about homes that stay clean with everything in its place. A home where you will not find a hair brush in the kitchen or a glass of milk in the bedroom. I am dreaming of the day when I can clean the house and it will stay clean for more than fifteen minutes at a time. I am not complaining though because right now you can eat off my kitchen floor. Yeah, there is a spot of mashed potatoes in that corner, gravy over there and bread crumbs scattered throughout.
I know that in the Bible the children of the Proverbs 31 woman rise up and call her blessed. My children rise up and call me when they need clean clothes, more junk food and the keys to the car or money for gas. Ah, the feeling of being needed. Such a wonderful feeling for a mother to have.
I do not live an unfilled life however. I happen to have front row seats to the biggest sporting events of the year. I'm not talking about some boring sports with players that are known nationwide and who seem to be larger than life. I know the hottest new baseball stars of the century and am even on first name bases with the players and their coaches. I am also a regular at the ballet and the prima ballerina calls me by her pet name for me—Nanny. Oh, I can't forget my volunteer work and charitable donations of which I am a faithful contributor. Let me see, there is the magazine subscription drive, the raffle ticket peddler, and the volunteer for the biggest dance of the season—the Daisy Scout cotillion. Ah, what a wonderfully busy by satisfying life I lead.
Although I do not have the opportunity for time alone to spend reading all the books I want to read or doing all the things I want to do for myself, I have learned to be like Paul—content in all circumstances. I have discovered that I have the greatest opportunity in the world. I am talking about influencing my family by living my life as a testimony to what Christ can do and has done for us. I want my children to see the awesome love that is possible in Him and through Him. I hope my family can learn from my example that with Christ all things are possible and without Him we can do nothing. I am trying to live my life so they can see my love for God and my appreciation for the blessings He has already given. us. I know my family will always remember me and want them to remember me my faith and my love for God. I want them to see this love through all the little things I do for them. I know that they will rise up and call me blessed. I want to leave them with the knowledge that everything I have done has been done out of my great love for them and my faith in God.
I want to show them that when they do leave my nest and start out on their own they will always have someone to call on they the times are tough and the nights are long. I won't be around always to pick them back up but there is a father will never leave or forsake His children. If they do not learn any of the lessons that I have attempted to teach them in life I want them to learn that one. He is always there for us, even when we mess up and think that we have no place to go or no one to listen to their problems. His nest will never be empty because He always has His arms open wide for us.
Today's Whisper:
A second grade teacher was teaching a unit on magnets. She asked the class, “what has 6 letters and picks up things?” little Johnny raised his hand and responded proudly, “Mother.” Ah, the wisdom of children. Although this is funny, it shows us how important a mother is in the lives of her children. It has been said that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. I have had the wonderful privilege of not only raising two children of my own but I have had the honor of raising four grandchildren. I have tried to instill in each of them the love of our Savior and hopefully have let them see His love and mercy in my own life.
Today's Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I want to thank you that you will never “kick us out of your nest” but will always be there to shelter us under your wings. I know that you are always ready soothe our hurts and heal our wounds that daily living inflicts upon us. I thank you Father for your tenderness and mercy even when we disobey and go our own way. You are the ultimate Father and have shown us the ultimate love. Thank you that you gave me the honor and privilege of caring for the children you placed in my home and heart. I pray they always remember the love I have for them and the love you have for them.

I'm Growing Down

That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried with every wind of doctrine but may grow up in all things into Him who is the the head—Christ. Ephesians 4:14,15.

Recently my granddaughter completed kindergarten. Although she should have been happy and excited about entering first grade in the fall, she went around the house with a very sad look on her face. Instead of celebrating the end of the school year with her friends, she proclaimed, “I want to stay in kindergarten!” Needless to say, this took me by surprise but Tori refused to explain to me what she meant by that statement. One night after reading a story together and saying our prayers I again brought up the subject of going into first grade. “Aren't you excited about going into first grade in the fall?” “No Nanny I am not. I want to stay in kindergarten for the rest of my life.” Now this was not exactly what I expected to hear. My son and daughter were glad to be one of the big kids so they could be one of the old timers at school and the envy of the little kids in kindergarten.
After recovering from the shock of Tori's remarks I attempted to explain to her that we all graduate from one stage in life to another. I went on to tell how each stage is built upon the last stage to help us grow. Imagine my shock when she looked at me with tears running down her face and said, “Nanny I know but growing up is so scary.”
I hugged her to me and brushed the tears from eyes and sighed. She was right—growing up is scary. I was at a tonal loss for words of comfort until I had an idea (a brilliant idea for me). “Listen, honey,” I gently began. “ I know growing up is hard but I am growing older too and that is scary for me too.”
“Wow!” I thought to myself. “This is brilliant.” So I continued. “You know growing up can be fun. Just think of all the new things you are going to learn. You will make new friends and have so much fun. But I am growing older and won't be able to do as many things as I once did. That is what makes growing old scary for me.”
After I had finished explaining this to her, I congratulated myself on my new found wisdom. I sat back, kissed her cheek gently and asked her if she understood what I was saying. With solemn eyes she replied, “Yeah, I think so.” Then her blue eyes widened with understanding and a smile crossed her face. “I understand, Nanny,” she exclaimed with a leap into my arms. “I'm growing up sand you are growing down.” Wow! Out of the mouths of babes. I had not thought of it quite that way but she was absolutely right. I am “growing down.” I used to be able to mow my lawn, clean my house completely and still practice baseball with the kids. Now if I can make sure the house is clean enough not to be condemned by the health officials I congratulate myself on making it through another week.
This sobering conversation with Tori caused me to reflect on my life. I was reminded of the challenges I have faced in my life. Some of these challenges left me feeling overwhelmed and confused about the meaning of my life. I never doubted God's love but I did doubt my ability to stand on my own two feet. I realized that these challenges have made me stronger and wiser. I would not be the person I am today without these experiences. I realized that God had not let me down but had held me up during these trying times.
I might be growing down in the physical realm. But I know God is “growing me up” with His love and grace. He is always with me each day to give me the wisdom and strength I need to fulfill His purpose in my life.
As I thought back on my life span, I began to realize that we should not just grow down physically but we should always strive to grow up in Him. To grow up in the Lord is something we should all do whether we are young or old. I hope that I able to helpTori grow in her relationship with God and always look to Him for her strength.
Yes Tori, growing up can be scary but with God holding our hands, there is nothing we cannot do. I want you to remember that God will grow us to be the people He intends for us to be if we only believe that everything is possible with Him and He promises us life that is eternal and abundant.
Today's Whisper:
As we grow older we might find we are slowing down. Journal about how you feel about aging. What can you not do that you could in your younger days? It has been said that with age comes wisdom. Do you feel this is true and think about whether you would rather be older and wise or if this is a fair comparison.
Today's Prayer:
Father, I come before you today with a thankful heart that you are still working on me and haven't given up on me. You are always here with me to help me grow in your knowledge and grace. I ask that as the days and years pass I can look to you and know that you are still molding me into the woman you want me to be. I may be growing older in earthly years but I ask for your wisdom and grace each and every day that I have left on this earth.

Prayers Are Real

Liberals have taken it upon themselves to lecture us on everything from who to vote for to who should and should not own a gun. After the mass shooting in the small Texas church, they have come out in full force to tell us that prayers don't work. They, in their self-righteous moral authority, have taken to social media to ridicule and mock Christians that do believe in prayer and are praying for the victims and the families involved.

Wil Wheaton, a washed up actor took to Twitter to blast Congressman Paul Ryan when he said “our thoughts and prayers are with you.” Wheaton, in his all knowing wisdom shot back, “The victims were in church. If prayers did anything, they'd still be alive.” As despicable as his remark was, he was not the only “celebrity” to throw in their pearls of wisdom. One tweet even went as far to say, “They had the prayers shot right out of them.”

They not only ridicule Christians for their prayers. They have questioned the existence of God.”If God is real why did He let this happen?” Well, friends, God did not cause this tragedy. Man did. He used his free will that God has given us all and followed the “father of lies and great deceiver”, satan. Other people want to know “Why has God turned His back on America?” He has not turned His back to us. We have turned our backs on Him. We are now living in a world that has taken God out of our homes, schools, government and yes, even churches. We are now seeing what life is like without God. We cannot take God out of our lives and, when a tragedy, such as this happens, cast the blame on Him. He is not a magic elf that can be put on the shelf until we need something. He is a God of love but He does allow us freedom to make our own choices. So friends, no God is not to blame for this tragedy. But, I do know He has promised in Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” I do not claim to know what good will come of this. But I do know that He will work out His purpose in His own time.

So friends, I leave you with this: My prayers and thoughts are with you all and may God watch over you and yours.

As always you are free to disagree but I am still free to express my opinions. May God bless you all. Just saying.

Eclipse

As everyone knows God gave us all a view of His wonder in the sky on Monday.  Parts of the U.S were treated tp a partial solar eclipse while other parts were treated to a total solar eclipse.  This morning while taking my kids to school, we were talking about how we felt when we witnessed this wonderful event.  The kids said it was “awesome” and “beautiful”.  Suddenly, I found myself telling them that one good thing about it was “People were so busy looking up they didn’t have time to look down on anybody.”  Alyssa said, “I like that, Nanny.  Where did you hear that?”  All I could say was “just now.”  It came into my head and out of my mouth.  All I can say is God gave me those words to speak.  I have been often accused of speaking without thinking.  This was one of those times but I thank God that I spoke words He gave me to say.  My God does truly speak to us if we only listen.

My God is awesome.

Touched By the Master’s Hand

The poor beggar sat by the rich man’s gate

Begging for crumbs that he might eat,

But the rich man showed no mercy

And had him thrown out into the street.

The blind man stared with unseeing eyes

As the people passed him by.

He knew that God had a purpose for him

So he did not question why.

But now the beggar can sit down to feast

And the blind man-- he can see.

For they have been touched by the master’s hand

And from pain they have been set free.

Once I, like the beggar hungered

And like the blind man, I could not see.

But the master reached down His loving hand

And saved a poor sinner like me

Do Not Grow Weary

Friends, in Revelation we read about the last days.  Satan will be unleased upon the Earth to wreak havoc and is desperately trying to destroy souls for he knows his days are numbered.  If we look at the shape of the world today,,could this be what is going on?  People rioting in the streets, killing others because their views are different, countries waging war on other countries, people living only for themselves.  What was once thought to be good and right is now evil and hated and what was once called evil is now looked upon as right.  Terrorists and thugs are raping, beheading, shooting and torturing people.  My fellow Christians, we must persevere and keep on fighting the good fight.  God is on the throne and will send His Son for His children soon.  Do not grow weary in fighting the good fight or as Paul said “run  the race that is set before us”.  We mist daily pray for our country and its leaders.  We must also pray for each other.

All Lives Matter

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:13-16 (NIV) If you listen to the news or spend any time at all on social media you know about the riots and demonstrations that have happened in this country. The theme these riots center around is the mantra “Black Lives Matter.” I know I am taking an unpopular stand on this issue but the Bible clearly teaches us that All Lives Matter to Him. In Psalm 139 He tells us He knew us before we were born. He knows us this intimately because He made us.] He did not say He made only one color, or gender and rest came along because of a major boom in the universe. No He said He created each every one of us in His image and He loves all of us. Society tries to pit us against each other by telling us that all whites have something called “White Privilege.” What is this anyway? My God says we all have privilege to be alive and the privilege and opportunity to strive for a better life. I can hear some of you saying, “I don't have the opportunities to make a better life for myself. I was born into poverty and can't get out.” I say, “yes you do.” I was born into poverty and worked my way out of it. I did not say it would be easy. I said you can make your own opportunity. I have learned in my lifetime that anything worth having or doing requires hard work and sacrifice. If you have to work for something it becomes more valuable than something that was just handed to you. When society shuns people because of skin color, gender, or sexual orientation the message is sent that “you are not as valuable or important as I am.” It is not our job to judge other people. That is God's job. We are “fearfully and wonderfully made” by a God that loves us. He thinks we are all special. We are all unique but we do have one thing in common. God loves us all, and to Him all lives matter. He loves us before were were born and His love continues today. In Matthew 5:44 we are instructed to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. He did not say this would be easy but it is necessary if we are His children to do if He lives in us. I remember a song I learned as a child, I dot know who wrote it but its message is relevant to us today: Jesus loves the little children. All the children of the world. Red and yellow; black and white,They are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the children of the world. Who are the children? We are and to Him all lives matter because He loves us all. .

God Has a Sense of Humor

God played a joke on me today. I was driving down the road and thanking Him for His creations--clouds, trees, birds, but I did ask Him what purpose He had for creating bugs like spiders, flies, and roaches. Now I did drive with my window down and just about the time I finished talking with God--a BUG flew into my car and hit me on the neck. All I could do was look up and say "OK God, you made your point. You can stop laughing now

I Read the Last Chapter

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:12-13

Friends, I am not a political person.  But what is happening in this country and the world goes beyond politics.  We have a government that fails to call terrorism, by its name.  We have a president who does not seem to like this country.  In fact, his sympathies appear to lie elsewhere.  The values of this world have been turned upside down.  What God has ordained as pure and good, the world has called evil and politically incorrect.  What God has called sin, the world today applauds and embraces.  Friends, this nation has become an asylum and the inmates are in charge.  God foresaw this happening in the Old Testament book of Isaiah.  In Isaiah 5:20 we read,”Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who puts bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

There is global terrorism and illegal immigration that is condoned by our government.  Radical Muslims threaten to overtake the world for Allah.  IF you can find a reliable news source, you can see the acts of barbarism and violence that are committed in the name of Allah.  Christians are beheaded, women and children are raped and sold into slavery by this “peaceful religion”.  The president has allegedly said, “The Muslim call to prayer is the sweetest sound on Earth.” and “The future does not belong to those who offend the prophet of Islam.”  Whether or not he actually said this is not as important as his actions.  He defends these radicals and does not condemn their terroristic attacks.  He does, however,. blame the Christians.  At a recent prayer breakfast at the White House, he minimized the barbaric acts and said that during the Crusades, many were killed in the name of Christ.”  What he did not say  was the Crusades were fought to stop the Jihadists from taking over the world for Allah even then.*

We are not only fighting these radical Jihadists, we are fighting to keep our basic rights guaranteed by our Constitution.  The Second Amendment which allows citizens to bear and keep arms is being attacked by the government and other liberal groups.  Our First Amendment right, our right for free speech is being assaulted on every side.  The new rule of the land is political correctness .  We are told we must not say anything that offends blacks, Muslims or the LGBT population. Yet it is considered admirable to attack Christians and call them  a radical hate group because we believe in the Bible and the Constitution. We  are willing to stand for what is right and speak against what is wrong.  Christian businesses are being forced to close and the owners sued and fined because they will not compromise their beliefs to those groups that are intent on destruction of Christian and American  values.  We are told we must “be tolerant” of others’ beliefs but we are being denied the same tolerance and respect. God has been taken from our public schools and replaced by Allah.  Our children are taught the tenets of Islam but are forbade to bow and pray to the one and true God.

More babies are being killed by abortion because society does not respect the sanctity of life.  According to society, a woman’s body is her own and it is her right to kill the “inconvenience” of a new life.  The boundaries have been expanded for abortions until the ninth month.  I have conducted a very thorough and extensive research on the abortion issue and have found that “100% of those in favor of abortion have already been born.”  Not only is abortion on the increase but child abuse and neglect are on the rise. Parents torturing and killing their own children.  Child predators and pedophiles are kidnapping, raping, and murdering our children.  Many of these pedophiles are in this country illegally.  Yet nothing is done to stop this atrocious behavior.  Our government has turned its back on these defenseless victims and has hailed  the amnesty of these illegals as wonderful for this country.  Again Jesus has spoken to these evil-doers and rebuked his disciples for  stopping the children from coming to Him.  In Matthew 19:14 we read, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.”

Christianity is also being attacked in our military.  Chaplains are being fired and prosecuted if they teach the word of God.  Our government is trying to take the Bible out of the hands of our brave men and women who are fighting four this country.  Recently, a two star Air Force General is being threatened with court martial because he dared to thank God at a prayer breakfast.  You read that right—a prayer breakfast!  Not only is our military being disrespected but people who are enjoying the benefits and rights of this great country are trampling and burning our flag—the symbol of our freedoms in this country.

The day is coming when this world will stand in judgment.  The wheat will be separated from the chaff and all who did not accept God’s free gift of salvation will be permanently removed and separated from God.  Satan loves silence and we Christians must be silent no more. We must be faithful and look to God for He is coming.  We are commanded to spread the gospel and tell others about His great love.  We must let the world know that He is coming and on that great Day every knee will bow to the one and only God.  Revelation 3:10 tells us “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”

Yes, friends, I read the last chapter and we won!

Jesus said, “If anyone acknowledges me, in front of men, I will acknowledge him in front of my Father.  If anyone denies me in front of men, I will deny him in front in my Father.”

*The Crusades occurred in 1076 when the Muslims captured Jerusalem, the Holy City of Christianity.  Jesus was born in Bethlehem which is near Jerusalem and was crucified on Calvary Hill also in Jerusalem.  Muslims claimed the city because that is where Mohammed, the “founder” of Islam had also been there.  This information was obtained from the History Learning Site  found on the internet.http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/the_crusades.htm

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall never perish but have everlasting life.  John 3:16.

I hope everyone had a great Easter yesterday.  More importantly, I hope everyone remembers the true meaning of the day.  Though Jesus was crucified he arose from that grave.  To have the promise of eternal life all we need to do is believe that this true and ask God to take over our life.  I am so thankful, I did and now serve a risen savior.  This offer is for everyone that will allow God into their life.  That is the wonderful part—it is meant for all –not just a few.  We can all have eternal life.  That is such wonderful news.

Think about it.

Remember When

Think back if you can to a time when children were allowed to pray in school and even say the pledge to the United States flag every morning.  What! You don’t remember this.  Well let me tell you a story about how life used to be in this country.

Families actually had two parents.  If death had separated the parents, aunts, uncles, grandmothers and even the community came together to help the family. Divorces were seldom heard of.  You knew your neighbors—in fact—everyone in the community was your neighbor and all you had to do was ask for help and everyone that was able came to your aid.  Our neighborhoods were so safe, we kids could play outside until 10 or 11 o’clock at night.  We didn’t have air conditioning so we slept with windows open and sometimes even our doors because there was no such thing as crime.  Of course, we had neighborhood drunks and the occasional teen age boys that drag raced down the highway but nothing as serious as today.

If any of us kids caused any problem at school we could expect the punishment to be resumed when we returned home that afternoon.

We were taught to respect our elders and say “yes ma’am”, “no sir”, “please” and “thank you.” If a neighbor needed help with yard work or running errands, we helped without thoughts of “how much are you going to pay me”?  We had chores to do and if we forgot to do them we knew we could expect to have a “memory lesson” that would do the trick. No, we were not abused.  We were taught that to be a member of a family and the benefits that came with that also brought with it responsibility to help the family.  We brought that lesson with us to adulthood.

We were allowed freedom to have fun but we were always held accountable for where we went and what we did.  Although there were no phones our parents knew what we had been doing even before we got home.  That’s because we had “nosey” neighbors that were looking out for us.

We didn’t have video games or even much t.v but we had fun with our family and friends.

Yes, we said prayers and the pledge in school.  We helped each other.  There was no shouts of hate or police brutality no rioting in the streets or teenagers robbing the neighborhood store or beating up the elderly. The leaders of this country knew how to lead the country and be the leader of everyone in the country and not cater to a small segment of the population.

No friends, back when I was a kid, we were taught responsibility by our parents.  Our parents raised us themselves—not nannies, maids, babysitters or the gangs at the corner.  We were shown respect and we, in turn, gave respect to others.

I think this country would be better off if our society today went back to the days when we treated everyone the way the Bible teaches us: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself”.

Where My Loyalties Lie

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. Psalm 118:8

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12

I am not a Democrat. I am not a Republican. I am a human born in America. Above all else I am a Christian. God is my Father and my leader. Everything I am or do is because of His love for me and my love for Him. I have rights and responsibilities that are given to me by God which cannot be taken from me by anybody, including the government.

I have the responsibility to be a missionary for Him. All Christians are given this mandate and should not take it lightly. I may not be called to serve in a foreign field, but I am called to be a missionary to my family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. This is a rich field for broadcasting the news of the Gospel. I have a responsibility to teach my children about Him. If I don’t teach them about Him, the world is waiting to detour them to worldly ways.

I try to live a life that shows His mighty love and grace. I want to radiate His love because I may be the only Bible that many people will read. I am called to stand up for Him and His Kingdom. This is very difficult at times but I do know that what God calls me to do He will equip me to accomplish the task set before me. I do know that He will give me the strength and courage to do what He wants me to do. In fact, He is doing just that right now as I type this. Yes, I admit I often fail Him but He has never failed me.  I know some people will be offended by my message but Jesus said, “If you deny me in front of men, I will deny you in front of my Father.”

God has also given me many gifts and blessings. One of these is a freedom of choice—free will. No earthly government can take that from me. This country, no, this world, is in a cycle of destruction. It seems that decency and morals have totally been put in reverse. What God calls good and just is now against the law. Christians have been called terrorists and racists if we stand up for what is right and just. Evil is rewarded and godly living is condemned. What were once freedoms in America is now being usurped by the government. Our freedom of choice is being eroded with the persecutions of Christians and the “law” that one insurance plan be used. I am using my free will God gave me and live up to my moral standards and live my life to please God and not men. It is true that my life can be taken away, my soul cannot be taken because my heavenly Father sent His son, Jesus, to pay the price for my soul. I accepted His free gift and now my soul belongs to Him.

I am not saying I am perfect—far from it.  But, I do know that God is always with me and will give me the strength I need for whatever comes my way.

With the elections coming up, I pray that His people will carefully weigh the issues at hand and not vote for the candidate that tells you  just what sounds good but the candidate that will uphold the law of our land and do what is right for America.  Our country is on a downhill slide and the results of this election will determine the direction our country and the world will take.   I do not take this responsibility lightly and I hope you don’t either.
