Prayers Are Real

Liberals have taken it upon themselves to lecture us on everything from who to vote for to who should and should not own a gun. After the mass shooting in the small Texas church, they have come out in full force to tell us that prayers don't work. They, in their self-righteous moral authority, have taken to social media to ridicule and mock Christians that do believe in prayer and are praying for the victims and the families involved.

Wil Wheaton, a washed up actor took to Twitter to blast Congressman Paul Ryan when he said “our thoughts and prayers are with you.” Wheaton, in his all knowing wisdom shot back, “The victims were in church. If prayers did anything, they'd still be alive.” As despicable as his remark was, he was not the only “celebrity” to throw in their pearls of wisdom. One tweet even went as far to say, “They had the prayers shot right out of them.”

They not only ridicule Christians for their prayers. They have questioned the existence of God.”If God is real why did He let this happen?” Well, friends, God did not cause this tragedy. Man did. He used his free will that God has given us all and followed the “father of lies and great deceiver”, satan. Other people want to know “Why has God turned His back on America?” He has not turned His back to us. We have turned our backs on Him. We are now living in a world that has taken God out of our homes, schools, government and yes, even churches. We are now seeing what life is like without God. We cannot take God out of our lives and, when a tragedy, such as this happens, cast the blame on Him. He is not a magic elf that can be put on the shelf until we need something. He is a God of love but He does allow us freedom to make our own choices. So friends, no God is not to blame for this tragedy. But, I do know He has promised in Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” I do not claim to know what good will come of this. But I do know that He will work out His purpose in His own time.

So friends, I leave you with this: My prayers and thoughts are with you all and may God watch over you and yours.

As always you are free to disagree but I am still free to express my opinions. May God bless you all. Just saying.

Do Not Grow Weary

Friends, this nation has become an asylum and the inmates are in charge. People are thinking only of themselves. This is evident in the hate-filled social media posts with people celebrating the tragic loss of lives in Las Vegas. Now the liberal Hollywood elites and the demonrats are calling for gun control. They want to take guns from the American citizens so this killing will stop. Well, that will only leave the average American defenseless for the evil-doers. People's hearts are hardened and they refuse to acknowledge the truth. People have even said, “Prayer does not help because there is no God. If He is real why did He let this evil happen?” God did not cause this evil. Man caused this evil. God gave us all free will when we were created. This means we make decisions on whether we want to do the right thing or turn to evil. We all have that choice and some people have listened to the enemy's lies and chosen to follow him instead of having a relationship with God. No, friends, God did not cause this evil that is in our land but He is in control and when the final battle is fought, if we continue to stand with Him we will be the victors.

Today, this world is turned upside down. What God has ordained as pure and good, the world calls evil and politically incorrect. What God has called sin, the world today applauds and embraces. God foresaw this and warns us in His word, the Bible. In Isaiah 5:20 we read “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who puts bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”

Global terrorism and illegal immigration runs rampant in this country and the world. Radical Muslims are threatening to overtake the world for Allah. If you can find a reliable news source, you can see the acts of barbarism and violence that are committed in the name of Allah. Christians are beheaded, women and children are raped and sold into slavery by this “peaceful religion”.

We are not only fighting these radical jihadists, we are fighting to keep our basic rights guaranteed by our Constitution. The Second Amendment which allows citizens to bear and keep arms is being attacked on all sides. Our First Amendment right—our right to free speech is being assaulted on a daily basis. The new rule of the land is Political Correctness. We are told we must not say anything to offend blacks, Muslims, or the LGBT population. Yet it is considered admirable to attack Christians and call them a radical hate group because we believe in the Bible and Constitution. We are willing to stand for what is right and speak against what is wrong. Christian businesses are forced to close and the owners sued and fined because they will not compromise their beliefs to those groups that are intent on destruction of Christians and American values. Yet, businesses like Starbucks can tell people that believe in the traditional marriage to shop elsewhere.

God has been taken from our public schools and, in many cases, replaced by Allah. Our children are ridiculed and harassed if they mention Jesus in school. He has been taken from many of our churches because the world teaches tolerance and any mention of sin is hate speech. Our churches need to preach the truth that Heaven and Hell is real and lead people down the right path instead of guiding them down the wrong road.

More babies are being killed by abortion because society does not respect the sanctity of life. According to society, a woman's body is her own and it is her right to kill the “inconvenience” of a new life. The boundaries have been expanded for abortion until the ninth month. I have conducted a very thorough and extensive research on the abortion issue and have found that “100% of those in favor of abortion have already been born.” Not only is abortion on the increase but child abuse and neglect are on the rise. Parents are torturing and killing their own children. Child predators and pedophiles are kidnapping, raping, and murdering our children. Many of these pedophiles and in this country illegally. But they are not the only predators, many high ranking officials and celebrities are also committing pedophilia on our children. Again Jesus has spoken to these evil-doers when he tells us in Matthew 19:14 “Let the little children come to me for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.

The day is coming when this world will stand in judgment. The wheat will be separated from the chaff and all who not accept God's free gift of salvation will be permanently removed and separated the God. Satan loves silence and we Christians must be silent no more. We are commanded to spread the gospel and tell others about His great love. We must let the world that He is coming and every knee will bow and every voice profess Him Lord.

Jesus said in Matthew 10:32-33, “Whosoever acknowledges me before others, I will acknowledge before my Father in Heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in Heaven.

My fellow Christians, we must persevere and keep on fighting the good fight. God is on the throne and will send His Son for His children soon. We must not grow weary in fighting the good fight or as Paul said, “run the race that is before us.” We must pray daily for our country and its leaders. We must also pray for each other.

Putting the World Back Together

There was a man who had a little boy that he loved very much. Everyday after work the man would come home and play with the little boy. He would always spend all of his extra time playing with the little boy.

One night, while the man was at work, he realized that he had extra work to do for the evening, and that he wouldn't be able to play with his little boy. But he wanted to be able to give the boy something to keep him busy. So, looking around his office, he saw a magazine with a large map of the world on the cover. He got an idea. He removed the map, and then patiently tore it up into small pieces. Then he put all the pieces in his coat pocket.

When he got home, the little boy came running to him and was ready to play. The man explained that he had extra work to do and couldn't play just now, but he led the little boy into the dining room and taking out all the pieces of the map, he spread them on the table. He explained that it was a map of the world, and that by the time he could put it back together, his extra work would be finished, and they could both play. Surely, this would keep the child busy for hours, he thought.

About half an hour later the boy came to the man and said, “Okay, it's finished. Can we play now?”

The man was surprised, saying, “That's impossible. Let's go see.” And sure enough, there was the picture of the world, all put together, every piece in it's place.

The man said, “That's amazing! How did you do that?” The boy said, “It was simple. On the back of the page was a picture of a man. When I put the man together the whole world fell into place.”

With so much hate in the world today, we must take a look at ourselves (all of us). How much hate do we harbor within our own hearts against our fellow man. Races are fighting against other races. People are killing each other. In some instances, just for the sake of killing. Our leaders are fueling this hatred for political and monetary gain. We cannot look at social media without seeing the riots and assaults on each other. The news media does not report the news without interjecting their opinions and telling us what we should think.

Islam is being touted as the “religion of peace” but kill anyone who does not believe the way the do. Christians are being persecuted for their beliefs. Friends, it saddens me to see the persecution of Christians all over the world, even in our own country. Christian business owners are being told to compromise their faith or risk being jailed and prosecuted or lose everything they have worked for. Meanwhile, businesses like Starbucks, Target, and some camping supply store that means so little to me I cannot remember their name, are telling people if you support traditional marriage, are against gender neutral bathrooms or support a certain political party, take your business elsewhere. Well, friends, I have taken my business elsewhere and do not miss these businesses at all.

People are protesting our flag, our pledge to the flag, and our National Anthem. Millionaire celebrities and athletes who made their millions from the American people threaten to leave the country or strike because their presidential candidate didn't win or this country is oppressive. They did not think about the oppression when they were taking money from its citizens, did they? The candidate that did not win the presidential election has written a book of excuses and touring this great land making excuses without once taking any responsibility for her loss. The former president is seeking to destroy the current president. Why are they doing this? Hatred. Yes, hatred for the president and for the American people. Radical hate groups like Black Lives Matter and Antifa are rioting in the streets because of hatred for people who disagree with them. By the way, BLM, Jesus died for all skin colors and Father God created all skin colors so ALL LIVES MATTER! Our news media and even some of our leaders are singing the praises of these groups. One news commentator, I won't mention names or network, recently said “Antifa is working on the side of the angels.” Well Newsflash, they are not working on the side of my Father's angels. They are not doing the work of my Heavenly Father. He commanded us to love our fellow man and our neighbors as ourselves.

Celebrities, politicians, and others are calling for the assassination of our president and the media is silent. One man was jailed for offering money for a lock of Hillary Clinton's hair. Where is the outcry for the assassination threats?

People are trying to erase parts of history they do not agree with. We cannot erase history by tearing down historical statues and monuments. Will tearing these down erase hatred and bring about love for our fellow man. No. We must erase the hatred in our hearts. Martin Luther King Jr once said, “Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can drive out hate.” He is remembered as one of our great Civil Rights leaders and did not burn a flag, destroy property or assault anyone. Someone with hatred in his own heart killed Mr. King to silence his message.

People, let's look in our own hearts and drive out the hatred we find there. I must admit, when I read the social media posts of the violence and crimes being committed today, I find that evil emotion enter my own heart. I must make an effort each and every day to drive it out. No one is above this negative emotion but we must make an effort to make sure it does not take root and remain. I have to pray to my God each and every day and ask Him to cleanse my heart of the negativity.

Like the little in the story above, when we are able to put ourselves together, the world will fall into place.

Father, you said when your people who are called by your name will humble themselves and call out to You, You will hear them and heal their land. I am calling out to you. Father, our land, our world, needs you. I pray that people's eyes are opened and hearts softened to let Your word penetrate and heed your warnings. Without You, we are nothing, but with You we can do so much. We must stand together with You, Lord. Help us to remember that You love us all. I plead that You use us, your children, to do Your great work in this great land. I ask these things in Jesus' name.

My Run In With Farm Equipment

Had a little run in with farm equipment on the road yesterday. A blade from a huge disc hit my driver's side mirror and knocked it out.

No further damage and no injuries. A few more inches though and it would have taken me and my car out. Ain't God good?

The Great Possum Caper

One day my husband fixed a leak under the commode in my bathroom. Being the handyman he is, he is, he cut a small hole in the floor to make it easier to reach the pipe. Fine--no problem—leak fixed. Now he will fix the hole and life goes on, right? Wrong! He decided to leave the hole for a few days to make sure the leak is really fixed. Now that few days has turned into months. Although it is a small hole, I have tried my best to conceal it but there is just so much I can do to make a hole in the floor attractive. Now fast forward about six months. The hole is still there even though I have done all I can to conceal/decorate it. A hole is a hole and it is still there.

One night I stumble into bed exhausted after transporting four kids to four different activities as well my daily struggles of running a household with four kids. Around 2:00 in the morning my little dog woke me up with frantic barking and yelping. I forced one eye open to see him jumping up and down on the floor by my bed. He looked at me as if to say “I’m trying to protect you, now come on and do your part.” When I did manage to stumble into the bathroom, I was instantly awake. There between the commode and the waste can was a possum! Pugsley, my dog had him trapped. I could not move because I was totally in shock until Pugsley barked again as if to say, “See, I told you. Now get rid of it. I’m tired and want to go to sleep.”

Frantically, I woke up my husband and screamed, “THERE’S A POSSUM IN MY BATHROOM! GET UP AND KILL IT!” He looked at me as though I had totally lost my mind. “Ok, get me something to use to kill it,” he calmly said. I ran to my grandson’s room and came back with a ball bat. I gave the bat to hubby and jumped on my bed and covered my eyes. I could hear the battle raging on the bathroom. “HISS!” “POW!” “KA-POW! “BOOM!” finally all was silent so I opened my eyes. There on the floor lay the lifeless body of the intruder. I picked it up carefully by the tail, placed it into a plastic bag and ran to throw it into the outside garbage can. I was finally able to fall to sleep but the bathroom light was left on for the rest of the night.

I bet you thought this was the end of my story. WRONG! I pulled into my driveway the next morning after running errands and three kids met me at the car. All three were talking at once. I was finally able to understand their excitement when Christian told me, “Nanny, there is a possum in our garbage can,” “and he is alive,” Alyssa interrupted him to excitedly tell me. “Yeah, he is ALIVE!” Nikolas finished with excitement written all over his face. I went over to the garbage can to see for myself. Sure enough, when I raised the lid of the can, I could see two beady little eyes staring up at me. I slammed the lid down and got the kids into the house after explaining to them to stay away from the garbage can and leave the creature alone.

I don’t know what happened to our uninvited guest. The kids think he escaped and is now living happily-albeit traumatized-with his family. I hope that is what happened, but at least, he is living out his life in my house with my family.

When I was finally able to sit down for my visit with God, I asked Him, as I always do “What doe you want to talk bout today, Father?” His answer came as a total surprise to me. “I want to told about the possum.”

“What about the possum?” I asked in astonishment.

“That was a small hole in your floor, wasn’t it?”

“Yes, it was a very small hole.” I answered, not sure this conversation was going but definitely intrigued by it.

“Well that possum was able to come into house through that small hole, wasn’t he?”

“Y e a h,” I slowly answered.

“Just like that possum squeezing through such a small unguarded hole in the floor, the enemy can enter your heart through a small unguarded hole in your heart. Just as that intruding animal filled you with dread, the enemy can fill your heart with fears and worries. When he does that you do not fully trust me to care for you.”

Suddenly, I understood what He was telling me. We must always guard our hearts against the enemy that roams around who he cab devour. Satan doesn’t need a door with a flashing neon welcome sign, he enters through a hole he finds unguarded. Don’t make it easy for him to enter your heart. Fill your heart with joy and love and trust in your Heavenly Father who loves you unconditionally and will never leave you unprotected.

Oh, by the way—the hole in my floor has been fixed!

Today’s Whisper:

Have you ever left your heart unguarded? Did the enemy enter in and fill your heart with doubts and fears? Journal about the doubts and fears you had and write out a prayer confessing about them and ask God to come into that hole left by doubt. Just as the enemy can enter our heart God can close that hole with His peace and joy.

Today’s Prayer:

Loving Father, help me to be ever vigilant to guard my heart against the enemy’s attacks. Only you can fill my heart with the peace and joy I crave. Make me ever mindful of your love and care for me. I surrender my heart and soul to you. I know you will never leave me or forsake me. I covet your presence in my life today and forever.  Amen

Modern Miracle

Miracles can and do still happen. In fact, they happen every day. Unfortunately we are often too busy living our lives in the hectic pace that is so common today, we often miss the miracles that are all around us. I can recall one special miracle that happened to my family on Halloween in 2004.

That Saturday began like every other day for my family—frantic rushing to get somewhere. Today my two older girls had soccer games and as usual we are running late. In the chaos of finding soccer gear and loading up the car a quarrel broke out with the two. “I'm riding in the front seat!” “No I am!” This argument went on for what seemed like hours. Finally, I had enough of this nonsense so I ordered both to get in the back seat so we could leave.

When they finally realized I meant what I said but still mouthing insults to each other, they got in the car. When I heard the last door slam, I heard a frightening scream from the younger boy. I looked back to see what was wrong and my blood ran cold with horror. His hand was stuck in the closed door. I jumped out and tried to open the door but it would not open! My husband came out of the house to see what all the screaming and crying was. He frantically tried to open the door but it was stuck.

“Call 911!' I was still attempting to pry open the door. Just as Mom ran to the house to make the phone call, the EMTs pulled into the driveway. “We were passing your house when we noticed the frantic activity.” one of the men shouted as he came running to the car. I hurriedly explained what had happened. He then began shouting orders while he tried to open the door. Still the door would not budge and the child's hand would not come out.

Now the flurry of activity became even more hectic while the kids were crying and I was praying that God would keep His hand over Christian's hand to minimize the damage to his hand. The EMTs were just as panicked as the rest of us when one turned to me and asked permission to break the car windows in order to use the jaws of life to open the door. “Do what you have to do,” I tearfully replied. With all the prayers that went up today, God surely was listening. The medics tried the door again and it opened up.

Now by this time we had drawn quite a crowd and cheers went up that surely must have reached heaven. I turned around and saw the ambulance waiting in the driveway. While Christian's hand was packed in ice and he was loaded into the ambulance, my daughter grabbed her stomach and moaned. Yes, the mother of this precious child was eight months pregnant. She was rushed into the ambulance with Christian and both of them were rushed off to the hospital—he went for treatment and she went for a checkup to assure her safety and the precious baby she was going to have in a month.

Mom and I followed in my car and rushed into the emergency room. Christian was calm and quiet as the doctors checked out his hand. I imagined every bone and muscle destroyed and when his hand was uncovered there did not appear to be any damage at all. The nurses got him ready to have X-rays and Mom was holding his other hand. I reluctantly left and went to the OB-GYN department to see how my daughter was doing. After she was thoroughly checked out and her health and the health of the baby were confirmed, I went back to the ER to see about Christian. When I returned I heard laughing and cheering from the staff. “What is the prognosis?” I asked utterly confused by the cheerful atmosphere in the exam room. I then saw Christian and his hand was completely normal—even the swelling had gone. One nurse looked at me as she hugged Christian and he smiled through his tears. There was no damage at all to his hand. The ER doctor told us in his “professional” voice that we had all over reacted and had given in to hysteria. One paramedic was still there and was waiting until we found out everything was fine told the doctor “That kid's hand was in that door for 45 minutes before the door would open. I guess if the family over reacted we “professionals” did too. This experience has taught me that miracles do happen because I just witnessed one.”

Yes, a miracle had just happened to us. No one can convince me that God does not perform miracles today. My grandson had an angel holding his hand over that child's hand. No one can convince me He was not protected by my heavenly Father and His angels.
Christian is now twelve years old and has not had any problems with his hand. There is no evidence at all that he suffered a traumatic injury of any kind.

So friends, yes there is a heavenly Father who watches over His children and protects us from dangers that befall us. I will never forget the day that God sent His angels to protect a three year old. Today Christian remembers that day he experienced God's unconditional love for him. His faith and mine were made stronger that day. If you ask him what happened that day he will tell you that God came down and held his hand in His

Where My Loyalties Lie

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. Psalm 118:8

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12

I am not a Democrat. I am not a Republican. I am a human born in America. Above all else I am a Christian. God is my Father and my leader. Everything I am or do is because of His love for me and my love for Him. I have rights and responsibilities that are given to me by God which cannot be taken from me by anybody, including the government.

I have the responsibility to be a missionary for Him. All Christians are given this mandate and should not take it lightly. I may not be called to serve in a foreign field, but I am called to be a missionary to my family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. This is a rich field for broadcasting the news of the Gospel. I have a responsibility to teach my children about Him. If I don’t teach them about Him, the world is waiting to detour them to worldly ways.

I try to live a life that shows His mighty love and grace. I want to radiate His love because I may be the only Bible that many people will read. I am called to stand up for Him and His Kingdom. This is very difficult at times but I do know that what God calls me to do He will equip me to accomplish the task set before me. I do know that He will give me the strength and courage to do what He wants me to do. In fact, He is doing just that right now as I type this. Yes, I admit I often fail Him but He has never failed me.  I know some people will be offended by my message but Jesus said, “If you deny me in front of men, I will deny you in front of my Father.”

God has also given me many gifts and blessings. One of these is a freedom of choice—free will. No earthly government can take that from me. This country, no, this world, is in a cycle of destruction. It seems that decency and morals have totally been put in reverse. What God calls good and just is now against the law. Christians have been called terrorists and racists if we stand up for what is right and just. Evil is rewarded and godly living is condemned. What were once freedoms in America is now being usurped by the government. Our freedom of choice is being eroded with the persecutions of Christians and the “law” that one insurance plan be used. I am using my free will God gave me and live up to my moral standards and live my life to please God and not men. It is true that my life can be taken away, my soul cannot be taken because my heavenly Father sent His son, Jesus, to pay the price for my soul. I accepted His free gift and now my soul belongs to Him.

I am not saying I am perfect—far from it.  But, I do know that God is always with me and will give me the strength I need for whatever comes my way.

With the elections coming up, I pray that His people will carefully weigh the issues at hand and not vote for the candidate that tells you  just what sounds good but the candidate that will uphold the law of our land and do what is right for America.  Our country is on a downhill slide and the results of this election will determine the direction our country and the world will take.   I do not take this responsibility lightly and I hope you don’t either.

Mired Up In Life

With all the rains we have had in recent weeks, water covered all the streets in my neighborhood. Our yard looked like a lake or, according to the kids, a giant swimming pool. Naturally, they wanted to go outside and play in the water and mud and were not too happy when I wouldn’t let them. So with three angry kids I went back to complete my long grocery list. Our pantry was becoming bare because of the storms that had blown through. I understood how Noah’s wife must have felt being locked in the ark with her family and all the animals to feed and care for. I just had four kids and one little dog and felt totally overwhelmed.

After giving the three little ones their instructions and making sure their older sister knew I was leaving and she was in charge, I left for my adventure. I had my coupons, list, and money and felt excited because I could have some alone time. This is a sad but true testament to my life—the only alone time is when I am running errands or grocery shopping. I’m sure you mothers out there can understand this.

Although the streets were still wet and, in some cases, a little water was still in the roads, I prayed before I left home and trusted my trip to God. Since I put everything in God’s hand, I felt confident that all would be well. The confidence I had when I started out began to fade turn into anxiety, as I began to encounter more water in the streets. I again prayed as I continued on and began to feel better.

Although the supermarket was only ten miles away I felt as though I had been driving for hours. Suddenly to my relief I was out of the water. Thankfully, I began to praise God for bringing me through the rough spots. The main road was still covered with water but I saw a side street that appeared to be clear. I could see a few “rough” spots ahead but I was full of confidence that I could make it through. “I handled the rough spots so far how much trouble could this small street be?”

Well, I soon found out. The first rough spot was not so bad. My confidence began to build as maneuvered my car around and made it though the second one. Hey, this is not so bad I thought as I attempted to drive around the third spot. But, then it happened! My front wheel dropped off the side of the road and got stuck in the mud. No matter how hard I tried to free my care, nothing worked. All I could do was sit in my car and cry and pray.

Eventually, a man came along in a 4-wheel drive truck and offered to help me. After several attempts and a good mud bath for me my car was free from the muddy grave. I was so happy, I began to jump up and down. I’m sure the poor Samaritan thought I had lost my mind. Before I could ask him how much I owed him, he jumped in his truck and took off.

Fortunately, neither my car nor I was permanently damaged (except my ego, of course) and I was pretty sure that would heal in time. I decided I could not go into the grocery store looking like I did so I carefully turned around and headed back home. When I got home looking like the “thing from the black lagoon,” the kids thought it was hilarious that I was covered in mud from head to foot. After if calmed their hysteria down by threatening to ground them for life, I went inside to clean myself up a bit. I am sure that after a good hot bath for me and a good hot run through the carwash I will feel more like grocery shopping tomorrow. Since I did not buy groceries, I found some popcorn and that is what I fixed for supper. The kids did not mind that at all.

While I was bathing the yucky sticky mud off my worn and tired body, I began to realize that I had asked God to keep me safe. However, when I thought I was in the clear, I took the problem back again to fix my way. I had taken control back from God and tried to do it my way. God did not force His protection on me—He let me go on my own strength. He was there by me the whole time waiting for me to ask Him for help. Yes, God was there but I ignored Him when I thought I could handle the situation.

God will take us through the rough spots in life if we put our complete trust in Him. It’s only when we try to navigate these roads ourselves that we find we are stuck in the mud of life.

Today’s Whisper:

Journal about a tine when you took control back from God and what happened. Did you find life went smoother when you gave him control again?

Today’s Prayer

Father, when the storms of life pound at our door and the water covers our roads of life, help me to remember to leave everything in your capable hands. I cannot navigate the rough roads on my own. It is only with your power that I can make it through. Thank you for never leaving me and always being there to help.

Amen

Prayer for Tornado Victims

Heavenly Father, wrap your loving arms around the grieving families in Oklahoma. I know whatever happens happens for a reason. I know you loved these children and they are now in you loving arms. Please protect their families from further grief brought by hate groups that falsely call themselves yours. You are a loving and merciful God but also a just God. I ask your protection on all that are hurting today and let your presence be known. Send your angels to stand guard against the enemies of you and yours

Messages Of Hope

Sitting and meditating on

God’s holy word.

Seeing nothing but beauty in

The undying love He has for me.

Not understanding His message by

Thinking about my problems

And all the pain I carry.

Worry fills my mind.

While letting the fear overtake my mind,

He gently whispers

In my ear

A message I had in the chaos of life.

“Come to me my beloved

Lay your head on my shoulder and

I will give you rest.”

Suddenly my heart grows lighter and

The path becomes clear

With the message of His love.

I am not alone but

In the arms of my Lord,

Resting peacefully in His grace and love.

He Is Always Near

He is always near us

To help us through our trials.

He is always near us

To walk the long lonely miles.

When our life seems hopeless

And our hearts are full of fear,

God is there beside us

To answer every prayer.

He is always near us

To lead us through the pain.

He is always near us

To give us peace again.

When our hearts are burdened

With troubles and unnamed fears

Take comfort in the knowledge

That He is always near.

My Grace is Sufficient

My Grace Is Sufficient

My grace is sufficient for thee

My Savior has promised with love.

So when my heart is burdened

I look with trust to above.

Though problems seem to overwhelm me

And no one seems to care,

I look only to my Savior

For He is always there.

“Do not feel so downhearted,”

My Savior has said to me

“For I will never leave you,

That, my child, you can believe.”

My grace is sufficient for thee

So lay your cares at my feet.

I will bear your burdens for you

And all your needs I will meet.

This is a promise He gave us,

So trust in Jesus above

His grace is sufficient to sustain us

And carry us with His love.

NOT forgotten

From Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Not Forgotten April 5 Thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me. (Isaiah 44:21) Our Jehovah cannot so forget His servants as to cease to love them. He chose them not for a time but forever. He knew what they would be when He called them into the divine family. He blots out their sins like a cloud; and we may be sure that He will not turn them out of doors for iniquities which He has blotted out. It would be blasphemy to imagine such a thing. He will not forget them so as to cease to think of them. One forgetful moment on the part of our God would be our ruin. Therefore He says, "Thou shalt not be forgotten of me," Men forget us; those whom we have benefited turn against us. We have no abiding place in the fickle hearts of men; but God will never forget one of His true servants. He binds Himself to us not by what we do for Him but by what He has done for us. We have been loved too long and bought at too great a price to be now forgotten. Jesus sees in us His soul's travail, and that He never can forget. The Father sees in us the spouse of His Son, and the Spirit sees in us His own effectual work. The Lord thinketh upon us. This day we shall be succored and sustained. Oh, that the Lord may never be forgotten of us! From the Faith's Checkbook Mobile Devotional Android app - http://www.LookingUpwardApps.com/fcb
