Learn from Mistakes

Thomas Edison tried two thousand different materials in search of a filament for the light bulb. When none worked satisfactorily, his assistant complained, “All our work is in vain. We have learned nothing.”

Edison replied very confidently, “Oh, we have come a long way and we have learned a lot. We know that there are two thousand elements which we cannot use to make a good light bulb.”

If Thomas Edison had given up, where we be today?  We don’t learn as much from our successes as we do from our failures.  The only failure is the person who fails to get back up when he is not successful the first time.  If there is something you want to accomplish---don’t give up.  We learned to walk after falling down numerous times—life is the same way.  Fall then get back up.  Don’t let one failure define you.
